Donation drives creates great results
The Mohave County Animal Shelter provides daily care and medical for all of the county’s unwanted animals. An average day at the shelter has about 200 animals in their care (cats and dogs mostly).
Your support helps MCAS care for these animal's food, vaccines, medicines and more.
An influx of animals in February caused the shelter to be more crowded than usual. One day 60 animals (49 dogs and puppies, and 11 cats) were surrendered. Friends put out a call for help to the community, and the community was amazing in response. We were able to buy $600 worth of dog, puppy and cat food with the donations. The other $3000 raised was donated directly to the county to offset the costs of the medical needs of the shelter.
Friends of Mohave County Shelter is always looking for donations to be able to help the County Shelter continue providing needed life-saving procedures, food and other supplies for our abandoned and surrendered dogs and cats. Donations can be made on this website: www.friendsmcas.com/donate or mail to FOMACS PO Box 1224, Kingman AZ 86402. Your donations are tax-deductible.
